Lucozade is a brand name for nutrition products, supplements and sports drinks put out by the GlaxoSmithKline company in the United Kingdom. The company is best known for its protein fitness drinks, but it also sells hydration gel packs, stimulants, protein powder and snack bars. Lucozade products aren't intended as weight loss aids, but they may be able to help to enhance health and fitness as part of an overall balanced diet.

History of Lucozade    Lucozade is a drink created in the UK and is sold all over Britain. It was created by Thomas Beecham, from Newcastle in 1927. He made it out of glucose syrup to provide a source of energy to people who were ill. Lucozades original name was Glucozade until 1929, when they removed the first letter from Glucozade.

It continued to increase in sales with minor changes on the way. Then in 1985 it was realised that Lucozade couldOrange is obviously the best :) In 1996, their packaging and logo completely changed, which dramatically increased the value of UK sales to almost £ be used as an everyday drink, instead of for just when you’re ill, because of this, Lucozade changed its slogan from ‘Lucozade aids recovery’ to ‘Lucozade replaces lost energy’. Lucozade tablets were also bought out in this year.


In 1987, two new flavours were made, these are orange and lemon. Lucozade 75 million in just five years, this was over triple of the sales it was getting before. Lucozade Tropical was created, along with Wild Berry.

         Locozade is an umbrella name for a series of energy and sports drinks and that are produced by Glaxosmithkline.In 1953,a factory for the production of lucozade products was opened in Brentford,england.The original lucozade drinks now branded Lucozade drinks is an energy drink produced by Glaxosmithkline in Gloucestershire.It was first  manufactured in 1927 by william owen,a chemist from New castle,who experimented several years to provide the source of energy for those who were sick with common illness,like common cold of influenza.It became available through the united kingdom for use in hospitals under the name of Glucozade.This was changes to Lucozade in 1929.
